About Southern Building Control Partnership
Southern Building Control Partnership is a shared Building Control service, established in 2017, covering three local authority areas. It operates as a single team, bringing together the experience, skills, and resources of Mole Valley, Reigate & Banstead, and Tandridge.
By working in partnership, the three councils provide a consistent and reliable Building Control service across all areas. Our team includes registered Building Control Inspectors, supported by a dedicated Business Support Team, who work flexibly across the partnership. This means your project benefits from a wider range of knowledge, experience, and specialist expertise, whatever its size or type.
We provide a single point of contact for all three authorities. Our service is overseen by a partnership board, bringing together representatives from each local authority. This partnership approach ensures a consistent, resilient service and enables us to respond efficiently, providing clear, practical guidance throughout your project.
As a not‑for‑profit public service, our focus is always on safety, compliance, and supporting our communities. We work openly and fairly, making decisions in the public interest and in line with Building Regulations.
From early advice through to project completion, we work closely with homeowners, developers, designers, and contractors. Clear communication, coordinated support, and consistent standards help ensure buildings across our area are safe, compliant, and fit for the people who use them.
