Notice of Demolition

If you are intending to carry out demolition work please make sure you notify us at least 6 weeks before demolition starts.  You can do this by completing the form below and attaching a site location plan.

Important - Please Note

You should not begin demolition unless this Notice has been given to us as the Local Authority and we have served a Notice back to you under Section 81 of the Building Act 1984.

As the person carrying out the demolition you must also give written notification to:

  1. the occupier of any building adjacent to the building(s) to be demolished
  2. British Gas plc
  3. EDF Energy
  4. The water authority
